The first robot entirely based on direct-drive technology, Galileo Sphere consists of a combination of circular and linear direct-drive motors. The direct connection of the motors on the robot axes permits high precision, mechanical efficiency and system MTBF. Galileo Sphere combines high payloads and dynamics typical of parallel robots with the large motion volumes characteristic of anthropomorphic robots. The motion space of the Galileo Sphere Robot has been designed to distribute the product processing areas onto multiple levels all the way along the edge of the working volume. This enables a complete production unit to be achieved with a limited footprint .
